How do I describe Distinction Artisan Jewelry? Well my customers have said it's rustic, organic, masculine, artsy, and oh so pretty! I would agree with all of those adjectives and I'd love to hear what you think.
Each piece of jewelry is handmade by myself in my home studio that doubles as an office by day and jeweler's workshop by night and weekends. I make jewelry I want to wear and with gratitude, so many others love it too!
Nature, mountains, and texture have always influenced my design first by incorporating stunning gemstones with cut up bezels mimicking the ridge of a mountain. Over the years I have tried so many different techniques and now I found fusing, reticulation, and repoussing to be some of my favorites! Those techniques led me to throw caution to the wind and embrace imperfection played up with subtle asymmetry. My design sketches get me started down a path but I don't ever expect to end with exactly where I started on paper.
Ever since I was young, I have loved unique jewelry and searched for heirlooms that would help me lock in memories or a point in time to take with me on my journey. This is what I hope my work offers to you, memories to take with on your journey and inspiration to look for the opportunities for uniqueness. Thank you and I hope to meet you at one of my future shows.
